Rivers Crisis: Amaewhule, Chinda Lead Solidarity March For Wike In Obio/Akpor

Top political leaders from the different wards of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area (LGA) on Tuesday led a march in solidarity with the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.

The protesters gathered early in the morning at the Rumueme Civic Centre in Port Harcourt, with the likes of Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Ogundu Chinda; the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martin Amaewhule; and former Council Chairman, George Ariolu leading the march.

They demanded that police operatives continue to occupy the councils and not succumb to any form of intimidation.

The solidarity marching took place along Ikwerre Road as the crowd was said to be causing a gridlock on the road.
