Oyo Police review security architecture over Ibadan-Ijebu Ode abductions

Oyo Police Command on Tuesday said it has reviewed the security architecture of the Ibadan-Ijebu Ode axis of the State following the reported abduction of three persons on the road last Sunday.

 

Oyo police spokesman of the Command, Adewale Osifeso, while giving an update on the incident to The Nation, said the new move will accommodate an increase in the number of operational and tactical assets deployed to the area.

 

He assured that more updates would be giving as the police makes more progress on the incident.

 

 

Osifeso said: “There has been a careful review of the security architecture of the area to accommodate an increase in the number of the Command’s operational and tactical assets deployed in the Jurisdiction.

 

“More updates will be provided soon.”

 

The incident, which occurred on Sunday evening, according to reports led to the death of a driver as a result of sporadic shooting.

 

 

While three occupants of the car were abducted, four other passengers sustained gunshot injuries
